“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain

Improving, one room at a time
Or one hallway at a time. I'm working on the engine room hall which is centered aft of the galley. The "smoking permitted above decks" sign is almost off. It's coming off in small chunks. I think it's been there for a while. I've primed the starboard side of the hall and will be sanding and priming the rest in a few minutes. It appears that the wood was pickled quite a while ago. The current color is sort of a mottled orange in places and beige in others. I'm going high gloss interior/exterior white just like I did in the owners' stateroom. Should be a a nice result and resemble fiberglass with a gel coat thereby updating the wood. I love wood, but a narrow hallway needs light. This solves that issue. The floor has been covered with an old tablecloth...that is not my flooring. :)
