Wonderful, surprise fireworks

Sunday evening, while watching one of our favorite shows in the main salon, we happened to hear some fireworks.  Buffett and I went to the aft deck to investigate and were treated to nearly 10 minutes of fireworks!  How fun!  We sure had some good front row seats.

Oh how I love a good 3 day weekend and the 4 day work week that follows.  Such a gift.

Weekend

The weekend greeted us with some slightly warmer weather than we've had lately.  Thank goodness because we've been freezing!

Bye Strawberry...

Strawberry the baby turtle has been camping out on the boat during Christmas Break.  She has a lovely home in the art room up at my school, but comes to visit Buffett over holidays.  Buffett thinks that Strawberry is the greatest thing since canned dog food and can't leave her alone.  This is a picture of her drying out in the sink while I clean her container.  We did this every day over break .  Buffett's favorite thing!

New Year's Eve

The Yacht Club had a wonderful dock party for New Year's Eve.  We danced and drank until the wee hours!  There were men in kilts, a bagpiper that did Auld Lang Syne , a mini sail boat with our burgee as a mainsail was dropped from the mast of the largest sailboat on the dock, and Rob shot off a cannon...twice!  What a great night!!  Happy New Year!!!
